How do u clear his crop can u pls shateShe HATES the syringe, but she's a trooper too. I'm scared to tube that much fluid, especially MS, into her with a tube - can't image MS feels very good in the lungs!
I'm scared I'm going to fill too full and aspirate her, a challenge to NOT do with a syringe!
She's still got a super-healthy appetite, which is good, still VERY active, and even managed to break out of her ICU coop this morning. She's a sneaky one!
Thank you as always for your sage advice! Here's Peanut in the last few days "dancing" LOL! Ok, she's really not dancing, rather working on a foot feather, but the photo looks like it to someone that knows no better, like my parents![]()

Do update what your vet said about yellow uratesIt's really better to start a new thread for your specific case, but start with information in this link to be sure you're dealing with the right thing.
Also, when you put your own post up, use the second link to make sure you include as much information as you can.
Crop Issues:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/
First thing to do is stop solid food, make sure she's drinking, then massage the crop at least every couple of hours; the more you massage her crop, the better.
Make a moist paste of Feed, Water (or Yogurt or both), and add a little Coconut, Mineral, Olive, or Vegetable Oil to it and feed to the bird. Mix this as moist as you can and still keep it together to hand feed if necessary. Follow with offering Water and massage her crop. Coconut Oil is easier to work with and can be frozen into pea-sized balls and fed easily to the bird, so most use that if they can.

Try to provide as much background information as you can about your case and the patient (bird). With that, the fine folks here can help you tremendously.
Do update what your vet said about yellow urates
What an amazing chicken keeper you areI will. It's going to be a FULL report with as much information as I can bring to the forum.
We're taking with us tomorrow the following:
-a thumb drive with photos of all her stools
-a few "sample" stools
-an Excel spreadsheet of her treatment history
-spreadsheet with her weight history
-her Wry Neck history
-medical history of her parents (mother and father live with us too)
Her issues with the excretion that contained what many believe is early Saplingitis will be explored tomorrow, along with her Crop Issues, and what we believe is an Impacted Gizzard, even possible Liver issues with the yellow Urates.
Finally, she will be X-rayed to determine what is going on inside her as much as possible...

I think gizzard impaction did these poops my rooster also doing the same kinda poop.old food coming out still he have doughy cropUPDATE on Peanut:
09/25/2021 (Saturday; day 13 of Crop Issue)
Peanut has been off Amoxicillin since Thursday evening, so it's been 36 hours OFF the antibiotic. Her crop issues (Impacted/Doughy Crop) persist, but there may still be some reproductive issue based on her stools. We're making sure she gets Coconut Oil and have tried to get her crop mostly empty by this morning (Saturday). It did NOT empty.
So, we held her food until just after noon today because she is just not processing food as she should (crop that hasn't emptied overnight). We're going to stay on Moist Feed, Yogurt, Coconut Oil, and Fried Egg mixed together for her along with plenty of Fresh Water. The Fried Egg was just added to her diet today as part of the soft food regimen related to her crop.
Through the morning, these are what her stools looked like (all taken today). What do you folks see here? I see that some food is getting through (solid parts); I see grass in there that she managed to get into her yesterday by mistake (she's quick on her feet!); I also see lots of liquid; finally, I see lots of yellow. When hosing this "yellow" off the walk/floor, it seems to be kinda "stringy", like it's some kind of membrane, at least in part. You can see the "stringy" parts in photos 1, 2, 3, & 7. What do you think?
