Going with the whole outcross ability thing you could get buff laced wyandottes, if they have dominant white lacing you could just cross them to gold laced. If someone really wanted to though there are white laced red wyandotte bantams around with dom. white lacing and a dark red color...
What are your limits on number of birds/breeds? I think that the US needs the real choc gene (not dun) in largefowl. For the barnvelders if you worked it right you could just import a trio of double laced, maybe a blue laced cock and 2 double laced hens and a pair or trio of double laced silvers. With the silvers you could easily cross those with the golds and do some backcrossing and all that to get more. Maybe even work on blue double laced silvers.
Like I said before I would get some birds that need the new genes or that arent being made. Think about it, if you were to get lavender birds that would put a damper on Hinks and Krys's birds, you would bring in 'ready made' birds and sell tons of them, no one would then be buying the projet birds....same with the gold laced and such.
There are so many breeds and colors I would love to import, well and other species too.
