No, that's a very nicely colored blue (or lavender?) with the kind of orderly (if small) black markings which are more what I think of when I think spangled pattern (I have SSHs, so "orderly" is the key word for me). The earlier photo was of a bird where the pattern was ot evenly distribted across any single class of feathers, where, if I'm seeing that photo corretly, the nakedneck has a clear row of spots across the wing coverts.
If I were a nicer person I wouldn't say "too bad it's a naked neck" but they always look like zombie chickens to me, sorry.
It looks like a poorly colored blue to me, it doesnt really look lavendar to me, too dark blue and too inconsistantly colored. Im not saying thats what it is, thats just what it looks like to me.
I apologize, didnt mean to offend. Andalusian blue should be a nice even shade of blue, but I am sure you know that. What is it then, so there are no more misunderstandings? This is the shade of blue I try to breed for in my blue brassy backs. It doesnt have any of the darker flecks scattered through. You see a lot of andalusian blues that are smutty colored, kind of a dirty blue, especially in plain blues and lemon blues.

I like that even color, but my boy is just a mix bag of genetics, you have Melanotic, Blue, Db, Co all that makes a sefl buff is in him also but in heterozygous form.....
I believe is about one shade or 2 shades lighter than your normal Blue because of Db..
edit.
the nice lacing found on Andalusian blues(name of the breed not the gene) is because of Pg..

Lol, alright...I wasnt quite sure what to say at that point...I am gettin some really good lacing on my blue brassy backs, considering making modern game bantams in blue brassy. I talked with carl, and he said he thought BB Red hens under a blue brassy cock would be the quickest route...at least that is what Im gonna start with.
