I got the 44th edition, it's in color. I spent $70.00 total the price included shipping.

I don't know which edition I was looking at on Amazon. That book is good for choosing good breeding and shiw birds, which I'm planning on doing both.

I think that's one of the reprints. There's been many negative reviews on the reprints.

He has no silver. Only red, & gold based coloration shows. But he may produce a silver here, & there. But I won't know that until I breed him.

Sorry I overlooked. In the picture the hackles looked light so I thought it was silver at first glance.

Yours was probably cheaper then. I think mine was around 100 but it was completely accurate and had every breed and color variety that was currently accepted up to the month I ordered it in and with colored illustrations
