The walnut comb is a feature I want from the silkie, & black skin. The picture I wasn't sure how to color it without smudging details.I can’t understand why you used silkie breed ! In this project! What you want to take from it !?In your pic nothing from silkie breed !
Or you want to take the Feathers type only ? Mmm I think will awesome
Good Luck
wish you continue with pictures![]()
He doesn't look like he's gonna be very big. The Emerald Dragon is gonna be a giant, meaty, good egg producer, & showy type bird, about the size of a Turkey.View attachment 2358129

He is 41% Yokohama bantam 9% Arabian 25% sumatra 25% aseel and his age 5 months .. I wish he will be good in 1 year
The silkie is supposedly for the walnut comb and black skin. I suggested Russian Orloff for the walnut comb and gamebird body build but MysteryChicken didn't like the idea of the beard and muffs (even though those traits can be bred out).I can’t understand why you used silkie breed ! It's actually hard to breed out beards, it's a dominant trait that shows up in unbearded silkies, that have been bred to bearded silkies sometime in their ancestry for example. I want to avoid beards as much as possible for this project, & maybe add a bearded variety later on.The silkie is supposedly for the walnut comb and black skin. How are you going to avoid beards when you plan on using easter eggers for green egg color? It's actually hard to breed out beards, it's a dominant trait that shows up in unbearded silkies, that have been bred to bearded silkies sometime in their ancestry for example. It doesn't help with the combs, but perhaps Ayam cemani would help size wise and meat color. Their skin somehow is pretty dominant breeding so almost all their chicks should have dark if not black skinIt's actually hard to breed out beards, it's a dominant trait that shows up in unbearded silkies, that have been bred to bearded silkies sometime in their ancestry for example.
