In about 2-3 years, I'll be creating a new Breed of chicken called the Emerald Dragon.(Discussion)

What do you think about a new breed?

yes, for me, the left is blue, the right is green. I see no teal/turquoise. I am trying to make turquoise eggs at the moment as well, with my easter eggers,
The egg was wet when I took the picture, anyway. It has more of a blueish hue to it when dry.

Nice. Making any progress?

I'm gonna check to see if I have a picture of the egg dry.

I dont know, I bred my CCLB to several different blue and green laying chicks. I have one hen that lays pink so if I can ever hatch out a female offspring that will be interesting too. They are all still under 10 weeks.
Will these charts help you out with your project?

There's no turquoise, but may still be helpful.

Maybe breeding a light green Egger to blue egger may produce turquoise? Just a thought.

yes, Ive seen these charts. I think charts are fine, but really, it all comes down to the bloom I think, which isn't really on the charts.
All my easter eggers lay moss green, mint green or pale blue or turquoise/blue- (Like CHICKEN's egg above) I am just trying to experiment. I'm only breeding more vibrant colours, not so interested in pale green and pale blue. Ill see in spring what I got (also bred olive eggers 4 ways- CLB Roo with marans hen/??CLB roo with welsummers hens// marans roo with blue laying EE hen, marans roo with CLB hen) Then I will cross those OE back to any new cool coloured EE layers, and back to original CLB roo and marans roo. )

Keeping detailed track of everyone is a challenge.
