Got a few more birds to start the project with. Picked up two sliver phoenix cockerels and 4 hmong/ brazilian shamo mixed hens. Drove round trip about 260 miles.

That's pretty far for a couple birds. At least you got them though.

Thanks for your vision for this project. It gives me an excuse for myself to get some chickens I wouldn't have gotten other wise. I've always wanted Phoenix since I was a kid.

Could you post some pictures of those hmong/brazilian mixes? Many years ago I had some fibro hmong. They were really nice birds.

Watching. This seems interesting. I'm hoping to create my own breed at some point. Just got to know more on genetics. And move out. Not sure mum and dad want me to breed too many. They didn't want my ducks or chooks I've got. Oh well, oops. It's giving them eggs and meat so can't complain too much.
