My friend has parrots (with the 530) and it does great. Occasionally, it sends a dried pea spinning around a few times but then gets it.
Yes, Verlaj, I would run the vaccuum and get a lot of the dog hair first. Hopefully this will be the last time.Once it's charged try to run it twice a day for a while. You have to let it charge about 8-12 hours between (green light comes on). My friend uses a seem ripper to slide along and get the long hair out of the brushes.
It only takes a minute or two for each brush, but it does come with a little plastic tool for cleaning the brushes you may or may not like better. They are held in a little cage with buttons you push and then slide the cage forward to get to the brushes. The ends on the brushes are different so be careful when you put them back. You'll also have to pull the hair off of the front wheel and around the little sweeper.
