In Northern NY, I need fertile eggs! Broody Hen!

OMG!  Okay, I'll keep you in mind for the next broody I get....I already have 12 coming in the mail...I have 3 more hens that are a broody breed.   YEAH!  Thanks Zoe!

Like I said, it wouldn't be a problem. You would get some very interesting mixes. My polish roosters are the main ones that go after the hens. I like my bantams, so I think this spring I am going to hatch out their eggs and see what I get. Last year I hatched out my own eggs and had spitzhauben silkie crosses! Unfortunately both of them were roosters... I ended up getting rid of both of them. They were really cool looking though.
I really don't need or really want more chickens when I look at how much mine eat, especially in the winter.. But when I think about hatching them out, I get really excited! Maybe I will just hatch for fun and see how many people would want to buy barnyard mix chicks.

Mine have never tried to roost in trees. They've always been really good about going in at night. I'm in both Facebook groups you're talking about. The one got changed to country thyme living.. I don't know why they keep changing the name.
