In search of….

I’m looking for White Call ducklings. I don’t want adults because I want to be able to hand raise them. I do know that I will have a hard time finding any right now due to the time of year. Right at the moment I’m investigating where I can find them. There is one other breed I would love to have but I am not having a hard time finding them as ducklings.

I was able to find a place that was still open, Johnson’s waterfowl. They are out of Wisconsin. Has anyone ordered from them before? What was your experience if you had?

I checked Craigslist, but I’m always iffy with that. There is one I found but they are showing they are in a town I just moved from, but also looks like it could be just a general area between there and another town. Confusing…

I asked a friend and she isn’t sure. She has ducks just no Call. She is going to ask around to see what she can’t find. Like a breeder but she doesn’t know off the top of her head.

So if anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it!

Hi!!! I would, I just don’t have Facebook. I meant to tell you that in the message and totally forgot. I have been able to look at some Facebook pages, just hard if I have to go through Facebook to contact them. I will have to have my mom get on hers and do it.

We just don’t like the drama of Facebook. My mom doesn’t have the drama apparently but my sister creates drama…and feeds on it. Anywho…

I really appreciate your help. I continue to look too. Like been a mission for like 3 days now lol

I have 3 friends on FB: my Realtor, an old friend who I don't really talk to, and a gal whose dogs I walk when she's off getting cancer treatments. That's it. Not even my husband! I hate the drama, too. But I love the info! I belong to several groups, and that's where I find things I want/need. That's how I found Cheddar - in a chicken and duck group for our county. I also get info about events in the community. It was worth it to join! FB bugs me to add "friends," but I just close that out every time.

Oooohhhhh!!! I wouldn’t mind it for that…but then there is drama because I don’t have family on it (the drama mommas). I tried it once. My sister acted like I ran over her puppy multiple times and never told her. This kinda place and Pinterest is closest I get to social media.

I can have my family keep an eye out for duckling sales for me. I know my mom and sister-in-law will do it for me. Lol

I emailed the lady on Craigslist. I mean the worse that can happen is I get there, meeting place in public with husband, and it isn’t a Call duckie. I will just see if they can’t send me pictures to show me more than just the one they have on the add

So the person got back to me about the Calls today. They seem real. They only have one white left and some other colors. Seems knowledgeable about not being able to sex them yet. I’m waiting for some pictures. They said they would be able to get some this evening.

Any questions I should ask? I will upload the pictures here to see what you all think.

This is what I was sent. I will ask for pictures of the parents as well! There is 2 mommas in the pictures that I seen. I’m guessing there is some mommas in the other pictures but I’m not sure what all I’m looking at or if they separate them by age. I literally just got these.
