Absolutely! It kinda sounds like she has separated them and specifically breeding them to be pure breed. She said when she started she had to drive 2-4 hours to get the ducks. Those birds are lovely! That's how I got Cheddar - through a gal I met on FB. If you get them, will you pick them up from her place? Might be good to see where they are. And I got Julep (my Pekin) off Craigslist from a guy who was going to kill her for being too noisy. She's not even that noisy! She was perfectly healthy, too.
It looks legit to me. Just look them iver thoroughly. Worst case scenario, you end up with ducks who may not be purebred, but you'll love just the same.
I have been setting on this for a while. Because I can’t stop thinking about it, I have to. Cows…I love the idea of cows too, or as I call them, moo moos. But the smell isn’t something I want. So I’m able to stay away from that lol. Just can’t resist the cuteness of ducks. I really think it will be good for my kids to grow up with different animals too.Almost makes me want to get call ducks! Almost!![]()
Only thing holding me back is how loud they can be. They aren't called Call ducks for nothing, lol! Probably one of the reasons I love my Muscovy so much. And their personalities. And their cute little tail wags. And the adorable trills the females make.I have been setting on this for a while. Because I can’t stop thinking about it, I have to. hear yeah! We have 3 1/2 but it is ALL open. I know at one point there was horses, cows and chickens. There could have been even more. But there was one REALLY big barn that was torn down. And we just took another smaller one down. It was so unstable.Only thing holding me back is how loud they can be. They aren't called Call ducks for nothing, lol! My daughter and I want to get some goats (next year, fingers crossed), and I've been bugging her about pigs, too. But we really need to get some buildings up before we can do that. Yes, we have ten acres, but when 9 of those are forest, makes it a bit harder to get all the critters!![]()
