Well in all fairness, I wasn’t asking for their address, I was wondering the area, which with over 150 fires in NSW at the time and given 17 of those at the time were at emergency alert. I was just curious as to which emergency alert was theirs.

If you knew the fires in NSW at all, you would know these fires are in the North coast, Mid North Coast and Blue Mountains, i.e an area!

I didn’t see a harm in listing an area.

Completely understood and in an emergency situation is important info. There is a private conversion option that may be more appropriate for that conversion.
More importantly - it's terrifying to watch watch what's going on and I hope you all stay safe.

Just make sure everything is packed and to hand ready to fling into the car, or already in the car so all you need to do is grab the animals.

Don't forget the water!
I have one of those big water containers with a tap on the bottom so we have enough for all our animals and us for a day or two . I have a horror of being thirsty

We had to evacuate one year, but they ended up putting out the fire 1 mile away from us, and it was an unexpected fire, in the summer, I had a hen sitting on eggs, and about 20 hens at the time, I did like they did in the time of Noah, and as far as birds, I collected 7 young ones, (Noah collected 2 each of fur animals and 7 each of birds) and some undeveloped eggs in case I had to set some, and crossed my fingers.( I am sure with the Noah, 2 by 2 animal things they collected babies to fit them all.)

For us in NE Colorado my biggest natural disaster concern in tornadoes. The county I live in has more of them than any other county in the U.S. and we have had them hit the property in the past. Unfortunately there isn’t much to be done with outdoor critters When they hit. We have ~30 chickens and there is no feasible way to get them in the basement and safe without risking my own safety. We had a “rotating storm” pass over the house this past summer with tornado warnings and watches several times a week (all the twisters that hit were a bit further east of our house, thank goodness). I felt terrible about leaving them outside in their coop while we were camped out in the basement but sadly in some situations we have to prioritize safety of our family and ourselves over our animals.
