I can smell smoke and I can’t see the houses around me like I usually can

Yep. We can smell smoke too. Pretty freaky really as we have no fires anywhere near us.

We have had a few fires on the out skirts of town here, not as bad as up north though. Bloody litter bugs with cigarette butts out the window, no regard for anyone.

That fire continues getting closer and closer. It was blue alert yesterday but now it’s back to yellow

That sounds stressful. Hopefully the extra time is allowing good fire breaks to be made.

I don't live in Australia, but I know what it's like to have to evacuate from a fire. That happened to me in California when I was little. Stay safe everybody!!
