Guys! It’s raining and it’s put out the fires boaders near us. There is one active side to the fire now. But that’s on the other side of the mountain! We are safe! All these prayers seem to have payed off. I have 0 doubt there will be more reason to use this thread so let’s just keep it alive so we can discuss what happens in our country
Doing the Happy Dance for you! Yes, let's keep it going!

@BDutch, don't apoligise you are most welcome here. All sides of the fence are welcome. I have many friends who believe in prayer, and many who don't. What matters is you are all thinking about us in our time of need :hugs.
I heard a great talk, a while back, that put an interesting perspective on prayer. The point was that prayer doesn't necessarily change the Almighty (whatever label you use)'s "mind" or direction about anything. The whole point is to keep us connected, communicating and strong. I'm still chewing on that one, but I have to admit that it sure makes a solid point ...

Yup. He said the smoke isn’t to bad. But we have lost 2 hens and 2 chicks and a guinea pig to the heat. But the chickens may have been lost to a predator.
Oooh ... here's an interesting, positive twist ... Now, you get to go chick-shopping! :jumpy

It will be awhile before you can think about 'restocking' if need be.
Are the fires under control yet....when will you be heading home?
48 hrs and we will be on a plane headed for home. Yes exactly. Besides food price for all animals is very expensive
