Incubating eggs to hatch about August 8th

Very funny. How do I grow him out?

Actually I bet you can raise him right with the chicks and he will not know any better.  Maybe give him a pie tin full of water to play in once in a while. 

I have no idea how old they have to be before you can bathe them in orange sauce.

The earliest is 8 weeks, but 3 months is a much nicer size.

Very sad...my broody Peeps baby died

I have no idea what happened. Last night, mom and baby were great...baby was eating and drinking. The only thing I did not see was baby poop but since my broody was caring for her I wasn't really looking. Now my hen is soooooo lost. I cleared the nest and broody area completely although I od think she realized baby died because she went outside to dust and hasn't done that since the day before baby hatched. Saddest day ever and watching my girl is just breaking my heart!

So Sorry. That is sad... Is there anyplace you can get a chick around there for Peeps to raise? It might lift her spirits.

I hope so....going to look into it in the morning because she is just making her little cluck she had for baby and is expecting baby to be under her. I have 2 eggs in lockdown in my bator now but they were shipped so not sure they will hatch. I tried to get her out and about but no luck

Thank you.. That's what I am hoping because nothing has changed this morning

I'm so worried about her just continuing to sit when there are no eggs now and no baby. Thinking we should look into some day old chicks to slip under her tonight. All so sad...my girl is definitely not herself

The 2 eggs I have are in lockdown now in the bator but they were shipped with loose aircells and not at all sure they will hatch. I was thinking just trying to move my girl forward from this and get back to "normal" but she just isn't buying in yet
