Incubating in my bra: An experiment.

Aww poor Abe :( if these don't hatch I wouldn't do it again why make the poor babies try so hard only to not make it because the conditions are not right. Just my thoughts.

Well, when I try again, I'll be better at it than I was this time, so there's that. I learned a bit between now and that day I impulsively stuffed an egg in my bra, LOL.

And, as my partner pointed out, if I didn't put them in my bra we'd have eaten them long ago, so the end result for the chick is either a lucky hatch, or food for someone (early on us, further on the dog, much later on the worms).

:thumbsup still have hope for Bibi. You might want to try the water test on Abe just to see. Warm water. I had given up on eggs and the water test saved them! Keeping in mind they can still be alive and not move but it's really cool to see them rock. It could be he's developing really slow.

Water test ... OK new one for me there. I'll give it a shot this afternoon! But first I need to look it up to see how its done. ;)

X2!!! I had chicks hatch yesterday. 3 I knew were alive, and the fourth had a big air cell and I wasn't feeling good about her hatching. But she hatched!! So hold out hope! ...it was under a little silkie broody, but still! Big eggs, little chicken...cold temps. Lol. Had to be close to the amazing boobie hatch. Almost there!

News: I put Abe in the 100 degree water and he went straight to the bottom and laid there on his side. No movement at all. So I took Abe out, put Bibi in, and Bibi also sank. This time, however, with the air sac up. No movement, though. So I think Bibi is also gone, but I put that egg back in the bra and will wait a bit for advice here.

I'm so sorry to hear about the eggs. I think you should try again, never mind what the person previous said. You are a pioneer and a teacher. I wish u lots of luck with your next eggs. Keep us updated.
