Incubating Lavender Ameraucanas Dry Hatch or No?

Oh my goodness that low?! I have it too high then 26th is hatch day 25 and 26th are my hatch days. I had to get another incubator because this nice man sent me double! Lol When is your hatch day with your newbies? And thank you! So excited to hear about yours!

Humidity is a tool in incubation. It has so many variables and depends on your environment, altitude and your incubator. Go by weight and air cell size to make adjustments and not an absolute number.

I should get the eggs today!...then set them tomorrow, so July 5th...wish they would’ve come yesterday for a July 4th hatch!❤

This is awesome! Cook them a little hotter and maybe they’ll come early Haha Keep us posted! I’ve got my humidity runnin low now. My house is naturally at 25-27 so it’s perfect I hope. Just candled last night and marked the cells that I could see. Lookin like a lot of life in there so hoping for a good hatch!

Bad news from the USPS eggs are late so at least Monday. This is off to a stressful start

The bators are both running 27-28 when I ran them a couple of days ago so we must be around the same in side our homes.

Did my seven day candling and have five blood rings! Two of the rest look like they might be doing something, I see good veining but the others are still questionable. I will recheck them at day 10 and see how they’re doing.

Double Ugh! That’s been my life since March. So sorry to hear this and especially with those extra special eggs At least half of mine are viable though, even after sitting in an outdoor postal box at noon in 109 degrees sideways. So they can still make it! How long will you let them sit you think? I only sat mine for 8 hours but, someone said it should have been longer:/

If the air cells are small and they look good then they should sit for 12 to 24 hours before setting. If the air cells look big and the eggs appear to be older, as they were in my case, then it’s recommended to let them only sit six hours.

Yes we will!
I only had 12 eggs, the breeder didn’t send any extras. Also I think the eggs were a bit old relatively speaking so I guess that’s to be expected. I have never seen so many blood rings in one batch before though.
