I think mallards are tiny birds, no more than a pound or two, so yeah, any mallard-looking bird that is 5 pounds has got to be a Rouen.

Mallards on average are 2.5 to 3 lbs no bigger look in this pic you will see mallard rouen and pekin

Yea the far left was a mix the 2 right side are pure. All ducks feathering are kinda like your finger prints none are exactly alike.

Ok the mystery continues. My bird looks JUST like the mallard, but larger. Even larger than the rouen in that pic. I am confused now.

He's a young drake My main breeders are very large and no I belive she had some pekin mix in here she is no longer with us lol
