Incubating shipped eggs upright vs on side

Here's a couple pictures, not very good but I was trying to keep my 2 year old from grabbing them lol.

First is the Silkies, there was a black one but it was half the size of the others and very weak and didn't make it through the night.

And the Legbars. One pullet, two cockerels, and the mystery chick.

For anyone curious, the black chick is from a Cuckoo Bluebar rooster, which is what I figured after checking to see what else the person sells on ebay. They had a rooster get in with their CLs and they culled the eggs for a while but said based on my chick, one another buyer got, and one they hatched themselves that it must not have been long enough. Honest mistake, and they're reshipping my entire order for free (minus shipping costs of course) based on that and the poor hatch rate.

And of course I already purchased a dozen more eggs from someone much closer to me this morning, so I should end up with 30 CL eggs soon. Hopefully I'll end up with a better hatch rate this time around!
