Lol!

I think I have had a bator running pretty much constantly for 6 years.

Turned the brinsea off in September and was feeling good till I got asked to incubate for a friend. Guess I fell off the wagon....

And this thread does not help with my "problem"

Hiya Phage!

CHIT!!!

The end.

:rant
Hey, I love winter! (I will deny I said that when shoveling or driving in a blizzard, though  )

Oh you guys are all hatching eggs! I really want to, but I have to wait until my 17 chicks I get in the mail are all grown up, which will be sometime in the summertime. I hate waiting! :he :caf

:hugs
I know, so hard!
I have been jumpin outa my skin waiting to set since page 62 (ish) of this thread, and just now made arrangments so I can incubate. :celebrate
I still don't like my bubblebator too much.... Gonna do all I can to keep it stable.. :fl

The absolute best candler you can get is an overhead projector cheap from a yard sale. Laugh all you want but it's the honest to God's truth.

I've gotten lazy and if I candle, I use the LED app on my iPhone 6 Plus. Except for BCM's, they get the projector.

@fire370 I didnt catch a suggestion from you on a candler, got one? thanks!

sweet!!! chicken addiction!! good for you!!

I feel that humidity is too high, especially since I incubated tons of legbar eggs over the past three years. my reasoning is all in the links..... I start off around 30-35 and see what it takes me to day 7 candle.... again read ..... I wish you the best! and you have calibrated thermo/hygros correct? I also run temps at 100.5 there is a temp section at the bottom link too

HUMIDITY Humidity is NOT a set number!
Its a tool to get the correct weight loss in the egg!

Hmm, that does sound like a good idea, but I don't trust Craigslist. Plus it's that time of the year you know. I do want to hatch, but not sure who will take them because I don't have room. :/

I would love winter a lot more if we actually had a winter. It's 60 or 70 degrees one day, then it's below freezing the next day!!! Not the nice, dry freezing like up north... it's a cold, damp freezing that chills you to the bone. And snow? Good luck with that one. We might get a light blanket once every 5-10 years, and in 3 days time it's a melted, muddy mess. Snow-covered mountains feel much better than it feels down here in the winter...

Any chance you are using of these?

Please tell me it isn't garbage! I can't see spending the $200 for a 7 egg capacity or $350 for 20. The voice in my head says that I can build my own, but I just can't deal with learning how at this time.

It is either buy or beg @Auroradream26 to build me a coolerbator.

@HenHoneyGirl Once upon a time (2007 or 8) I fell asleep in the truck (18 wheeler) while in Colorado in the winter. Thermal underwear, sweatshirt and pants. Thermal socks. It was early when we took off, and I was freezing!! A few hours later my DH calls, "bathroom break!" I woke having to go like crazy! He was already out. I pulled on my boots, coat, hat and gloves. I dove for the door, got out backwards and stepped into powdery white ... SAND! We were in Arizona, and it was 117* that day. I had fallen asleep so fast that I didn't know we had been traveling for hours. DH has the AC cranked up so high that I was cold from that! The other truckers thought I was insane as I got out, and my eyes focused. I took off the coat and stuff, but it was a warm walk to the bathroom, let me tell you!!
Moral of the story, I don't have a moral. It was just something to share!
