TOTALLY!! Now if only I could use it as an excuse to keep it going all the time, "But mooommm, I can't sleep without it!"
Just tell her you're doing an on-going project for Science class

Easy solution... get a hatcher!!! Put it in another room, fill the bator every 18 days, and you're good to go!!! Oh... and you're welcome!!!   :yesss:

I think we'd all do that, but it is nice to eat our own eggs every now and than...

Quote: I rarely wear shoes, so dont go duckin too much and waste that energy. I would at least pick up a thermo/hygro at the store when you go just to double check it. YES the air cells tell you what they need! you are quite intelligent, how old were the eggs at set? they shouldnt have very big air cells at all.

Mom did touch on the subject of maybe getting another incubator... especially since we're getting ducks, it might be harder to hatch the amount of birds we need when we're hatching chickens, turkeys AND ducks.

Have you actually tried to use it? Who knows... it might just work!!!

I haven't yet, I don't think she would go for it though. You really don't want to be hatching birds here in the summer anyway, it's hard to keep the chicks cool and the eggs start incubating out in the boxes as soon as they're laid, just a lot of variables and stress for the chickens that it's just not really worth it. I'll just have to live without it until October.

I wish! however It's hard to get away with stuff like that when your mom is the teacher.
