ohhh no!! but CH you dont have digital thermometers! if they are reading the correct temps the heat is on!

CH the heat thing is called a heating element it should not be bad its not that old show me the controls are they digital or s it a button ? put your hand close to the bar with the light on or put a drop of water on it just a drop . the light should be on . if the lid is off.
 
I'm wondering if I should buy myself a golden feather, but I don't know yet if it's worth it. :idunno
Thoughts? Is it worth spendin money on?

Ok its a button any chance you have a fever ? are you sick here the thing egg temp 101 your temp. 98.6 average 2.4 degrees hard to feel . if you have a fever close to egg temperature they might feel cold to the touch .

awww the poor lil chickie!! My big ole cochin hen used to sit on her youngin all the time, I stopped lettin her hatch them stank cause she could fit a bunch under her too

Sally, I'm actually thinking...ummm..mum! The feather tips are loong. And, she...is tiny. Those feet sure looked big at first, but the swelling has gone down. Smaller, but still thick. Better bee a girrrl!
 
@chicken hawk 33 If it's the forehead swipe one, swipe the eggs! If it's the kind you have to hold under your tongue put a baggy of water in your incubator for a couple hours, then fold the baggy over the thermometer and take it's temperature. Should give you a rough estimate of the eggs temperature, right??? Anyone else???
