whats up whites? how is mr roo doing ?
He hasn't given me any more trouble, yet. He gives me a wide berth, & I make sure I know where he is whenever I have to be in the run when he's out of the coop

Wow, I agree time has slowed now. Not worth the trouble. I dont even know why I set eggs again lolHey all. We're getting close to cutting wheat and super busy.
I think after my cabinets are empty, I'm gonna shut it down and turn the breeding pens out to free range. Market is tough this year and I've got 2 guys within a 6-7 miles radius decide to start selling chicks. Mutts none the less. They are in a price war and advertising everywhere they can. $1.00-$1.25 a beak and if you get a roo, bring it back and get 2 more chicks in return. I'll start ringing necks and pitch them in a ditch before I play that game.
@Sally Sunshine
I can't see in it, it is so dark. I thought I saw an air cell the other day but now I don't see an air cell. It does not stink. But there are about 6 spots of dried up stuff on it since this morning.
Take it out?!?
I feel overwhelming guilt if there's a live chick in there.
Then if it dont stink let it in, but I would separate it and not let chicks climb on that egg either
Quote: Good luck with that candling!!
see below candle link also see our candle section in notes for help with candling and examples at all agesI just candled my eggs, and I'm really confused. It is day 7 now, but all I'm seeing is a dark shadow on the top 3/4-1/2 part of the egg. I may have seen movement in one, but it also could have just been because I had just set it down. Please tell me they're not all dead embryos or infertile! Could it be too early/late to see blood vessels yet? I can't see inside my two blue eggs, but I'm guessing they're the same as the other eight. (Any ideas how to candle blue eggs?)
What's wrong with these eggs?!
