So how you can exclude the possibility that the difference in the hatching is due to the genetics / fertility /age differences between the mothers?
Because my hatch rates are much better when I stick them under broody hens. Fertility is easy... just open the egg and either it was fertile or it wasn't, right? Death at whatever hour/day can be seen easily, and an infertile egg will look perfect, even after being in the incubator for many days.

You rang? I'm here...barely. Way to busy and rather stressed. My extremely insightful boss has told me that I don't have stress in my life. I need to refer to it as excitement. He has a beautiful attitude that I need to adopt some of....So...I am having an exciting time. I little less excitement would be good though. Had a horse with colic yesterday. Had a horse return from AZ, picked up my stallion from the breeding farm where he's been for two months, and inherited another mini horse. I was totally at my limit with horse numbers before these came in. Then I complain and one gets sick, then I'm afraid I'll lose one.... I'm a crazy bird lady and horse lady. I have chicken and duck news, but want to include pictures, so I'll have to do it later. No cell phone service here, so I don't have a smart phone.....have to do things the slower way. Camera and computer. Miss you all! Talk later.

THIS S...... made a terror attack In the market I buy from! 2 ouer ago a terrorist made a stubbing attack in the market I buy my fresh products! He wounded 2 bystanders befor he gunned down by policeman. it could be me...... I intended to go there today. That is the second attack, in the morning a 13 years old, beutiful girl, and a gifted dancer, was stub to deth in her bed by a 19 yeras old Palestinian that enterd her home . What a grim reality!

I just read about that. It is horrible and incomprehensible. Praying for peace and protection for Jerusalem and all of Israel.
I like the permit revocation for his family and the razing of the house.

Evening folks. Released Marguerite Tuesday evening, and just got back from feeding everyone before bed. She's running around, completely fine and even actively figuring out where she's at in the pecking order. Bad news around the house is that the heating element might be broken in the dishwasher again. We leave for Texas in three weeks.

That's about it on my end. How's everyone?
