Good afternoon Heather. Should give you the opportunity to train the new teacher as well. When will you be hatching them?
What an awesome opportunity!
good luck with the new teacher![]()
Have the daughter come over for play dates. Give her the hatching bug, and train her. She will train her mother, and ...Hopefully it will go fine... I don't know her, but one of her kids is in my daughter's class this year so will give me a chance to get to know her better anyway![]()
Sounds like a fun opportunity for the kids. I know both my monkeys love watching the chicks hatch. In the spring, I will time it so they hatch about 3 weeks before school is out, so they can keep them in the classroom a few weeks.
....
They are very healthy looking Dale! what breed are they!!!
she is cute!
Quote: oh no!!! My kids allergies and noses are starting up already, I hope your kiddos feel better soon and you dont get sick!!
Heather!! well I'll be.... I thought fer sure ya would have a black and blue eye ball!! It will be exciting!!!! did you see the teacher section in our notes for incubating?Morning (almost afternoon here!) everyone!
I have been so busy at work, and stewing over something I have no control over. I guess it has made me more productive to be angry. LOL.
I had lunch with my daughter at her school yesterday and the 2nd grade teacher came over and asked me (not so quietly) if I am willing to hatch chicks for the 2nd grade class again this year. (I have done it the last couple years, even though my daughter is not in the class.) Of course, I had to say yes, on the spot, in front of all those eager little faces.
My only problem is this is a NEW teacher and she has no experience, I had the other teacher trained pretty good on what to do when I wasn't available to check on them, etc.
Anyway, will be exciting! Won't be until the spring, but now it's on my calendar to look forward to.AND, it will give me a chance to hatch some of my own eggs again since my roosters will be mature by then for sure.
