Omg, I just got the ok from my dear hubby to set some eggs tomorrow

(ok, so its gonna cost me a new pistol for him, but I can deal with that)

Pistol?!? Hope you are getting some expensive eggs to make this a fair deal!

Tell him the ammo for said pistol is gonna cost him an other dozen eggs. Heck, send me a Jr. sized shot gun, and I'll send you 2 dozen eggs!

Brinsea are a get what you pay for kind of incubator. That being said eBay and craigslist are great places to find them cheap!

We just finished moving the layer flock to their new coop. I'm glad that's over with! Had a few screamers in the group lol I'm sure our new neighbors were a little freaked out. Of course my husband had the cool night vision hat flashlight and nobody flinched or tried to fly off the roost for him. Me and my led were not so stealthy. But we got it done! And now I have LOTS more room for more chickens my husband built a great brooder for the new babies due this week, and just finished this new insulated coop and fully enclosed run. Tomorrow is winter prep day... Cleaning waterers, feeders etc and moving the Marans juveniles from the grow out coop to their insulated permanent coop. Tomorrow is also day 17 for the Marans in the Brinsea and I will need to get them candled tomorrow night pre-lockdown. Going to be a very busy day ahead!

Have you seen the IncuKits? They look sweet! I think that's what I'll be going with when the need to expand comes around.

No kidding! I totally lucked out (didn't know it at the time) when I bought my Brinsea Eco 20 off Amazon (thru Wayfair) for $90! Wish I had bought two now!

I looked at those.. not sure if I want those in my design. ..

What's so great about them? They only hold 24 eggs..
