Well, I hope you guys had a more fun day than me chores, feed store, cringe Walmart, build my new transition pen for the Christmas chicks sanitizecthe brooder and bath, then move in the two and three day olds, and now off to help a friend with wood.
What do you think of the pen?

Very nice!!! I never gave my chicks a roost until they move outside, that's a great idea!!!

Ok, I have a total phobia about eating the fertilized silkie eggs we get. Can't do it. I can only hatch so many.

So, we just scrambled a couple dozen and are going to feed it back to all the chickens. Can I feed any to the tiny babies? Or do you wait on feeding extras?

breakfast?? You have time for that? I got something about 2.

:hugs

I feed eggs to any weak chicks day one, and as a treat. They thrive on it. Just make sure they have grit.

Ok,I am going to set my eggs.but leave the auto turner off the first two days.because my Silkie,Turken, and serama eggs are already 10 day's old.

Noooooo!!

Let Sally's eggs rest for 24 hours!!!!! You only just got them.

Especially if they are the ones you most want to hatch.

Listen to the advise you are getting.
