For a long time. Now I never candle till they go in the hatcher. Hatch rates skyrocketed after I stopped.Does anyone else have a candling addiction
Couple yrs back we had the japanese beetles bad, last yr ladybugs were bad. keep finding them all over the place no matter how many times the wife vacuums.
Anyone have any luck buying quail eggs to hatch? If so, where should I be looking? I am hoping to find some for the Easter hatch. I see some on Ebay and Craigs list, but there is also Strombergs and McMurray, any recommendations. We live in Washington State, so I worry about the transit across the country.
Originally had 14 Dom eggs and 2 BCM eggs. Air cells were all good upon arrival. 1 BCM had a saddle cell off to one side but that was the only one . They shipped the eggs on a Saturday and I got them on Monday. This is how they were packaged. Of the original 16 I had 15 that developed really well and 1 clear. Unfortunately I screwed up and was only able to hatch out the 6 Doms but I know what I did wrong so my next batch of Doms should hatch out betterHow many eggs did you set from MPC? Tell me about condition of eggs when you received them. Air cell shape, size? Rolling, saddle?
Kinda hard to make 'em chicken foods when the bugs are inside and chooks ain't allowed inside.........something to do with them pooping everywhere. The beetles r good chicken foods
What's there to try and figure out? When do Silkies, serama, and Turken usually start hatching.and I'm still trying to figure out if I put them in cartons or laying down.on the bottom at lockdown
Not sure about the breeds, But I alway found laying them is better for me. For one it's natural. 2nd I found had them have a hard time getting out of the shell. 3rd had problems when they did hatch them sitting in there shells and getting stuck. I know people do it but I never liked it.When do Silkies, serama, and Turken usually start hatching.and I'm still trying to figure out if I put them in cartons or laying down.on the bottom at lockdown
