Help I have a BLEEDER! So a little hen CCL just kicked out of her shell and there is blood! A lot of it! Her naval is bleeding

What do I do? It wont stop, it just keeps oozing! I took her out because I was afraid the other chicks would peck it. I apparently had another bleeder last night because there was a small pool of dried blood on the liner. What do I do?!?! I have her wrapped in a towel. She's very noisy.

if its the navel see if its closed and the blood most likely is just the umbilical string. pinch hold with fingernails two minutes

aaahhh stop bleeding little chick! it's not just a string, the naval...kinda flairs open like a mini vagina. Tried putting pressure on it and that seemed to work but when I removed my finger, it stuck to my finger and started bleeding again. UGH!!!!!!

Uuuugh my spouse put cornstarch on it while I was posting!!! I think it's too big an opening for cornstarch! Now what?!?! Do I wash it off?!?! Now it's got a giant red cornstarch patty on its bottom! Why do people not ask me before doing things!

Edit: I am actually pretty calm, just irritated and a little worried. I realize my posts look like I'm totally freaking out. But I'm not!

Would bloodstop powder help? Or cornstarch or whatever help. Maybe wrap gauze around the body?

I've used cornstarch when they have little bleedy spots, but this one is bigger than ones I've seen before. Lost my phone, so I can't get a picture. GAH

EDIT: Well, no I guess I didn't. I didn't see fresh blood so I assumed it closed on it's own.

Does it lead into the abdominal cavity or is it just the skin? What is it doing with the cornstarch? Maybe add some antibiotic ointment and wrap the little ones body with some cloth for pressure.

I have seen this before, I know exactly what your talking about, but usually people show me them after they cleaned umbilical thinking it was pasty butt just after hatch. let it be, put it in a cup in the brooder do not let it run around.
