GOODMORNING BYC!
THIS MORNINGS QUESTIONS ARE:
1: When i move chicks to the brooder how long do they need to be in there? Like a month?
2: Also will it hurt a chick if a have it out hanging out with us outside of its brooder?
3:How many cups of coffee has everyone drank this morning?

Usually the general concensus is 8 weeks or fully feathered weather pending to leave the brooder

I just drove 40 miles to fix a guys tail lights and I get here and find out its just a blown fuse

I ought not tell this on her, but, following a complete makeover of our kitchen by the BIL & I, she started complaining of a noise coming from the new stove. I couldn't hear any noise, but she swore it was there, nonetheless. BIL was over one day & she mentioned it to him. He looked around for a bit, then reached up & turned off the fan on the range hood! Voila! No more noise.

100.5-101 temps..... because I hatch all CHICKEN eggs at that temp calibrated. nothing special about it with shipped.

try testing it a few times, rate your hatch, check how your chicks score with navels, weights, hocks etc, check your hatch rates, check your hatch times, check your empty shells. Let me know what you find.

@Sally Sunshine I started lower, at 99.5-99.7. Currently these eggs are at day 15. Any benefit in upping the temp now, or is it too late, and I should just know for next time?

Thanks! And, it's just horrible here! It went from a nice 50-60 degree weather to now a 90 degree day! I wish I could be somewhere where it is snowy right now!

It's been in the 80's here. I just bought the tomato transplants (chicken math prevented me started seeds this year). Getting them in a little late...

1. This one was already answered.
2.No.
3. I lost count a few hours ago. I drink coffee the time I wake up till 30 mins before I go to bed. I'm not even slightly addicted and I did not just buy an awesome new cup.

Is it okay to take a disinfectant wipe to a heating element and what would you guys suggest for cleaning the top piece of a styrobator since it can't be soaked?

Not much happening on the mal-positioned chick now. Still pokes beak out occasionally. Its been about 24 hours and there has been some progress


My second chick to pip is now out and about!

Things are getting active now! Must be time to leave the house... its the best way to make sure the incubator stays shut!

Ok, there is probably a link that explains everything right in front of me and I can't see it, but I'll ask anyway-

What would be a cause of the yolk scrambling internally? Poor storage, unadequate turning angle, egg quality issues, or even disease?

Is 250 lumens adequate to see through blue and medium brown egg shells?
