Since you have BCM's, I figure you're a good one to ask:
Are their eggs any harder to hatch than other breeds, the darker shells notwithstanding when candleing...I know you ain't big on candleing.
Do you have any trouble with them handling the summer heat due to their coloring?

I bought an electronic trap last night, it will be here Wednesday. We have an old farmhouse, and some mice that have managed to avoid snapping the traps while stealing the bait. Let's see if they can avoid 7000 volts...

I have had four or five of those they work good for a few and then die not enough killed to justify the cost . hope they work better for you .
