Pips 3 and 4 appeared over night. Pip #2 is working at his, pip #1 isn't doing anything yet but sticking his beak out to yell. Reminds me of when someone runs out of toilet paper. But that might be because I'm only half awake yet.

@scflock
Since you have BCM's, I figure you're a good one to ask:
Are their eggs any harder to hatch than other breeds, the darker shells notwithstanding when candleing...I know you ain't big on candleing.
Do you have any trouble with them handling the summer heat due to their coloring?
I hatched a bunch early spring and they hatched like crazy . mid summer not so well. I think they re not so hard If you get it figured out what they need during Incubation . also think SC has got it going good with his .

I'm about 700 posts behind now.

Hahaha that would be a funny caption to add to an image if you can get a clear pic.

I can tell you bcm's are fine in summer (we had 105-110f this summer).

My pens are half under roof, so as long as they had shade, they were fine.
I found the eggs much harder to hatch. I usually hatch 90% or better, but my first 2 BCM hatches were 50%, and they were my own eggs. I finally got up to 75 and 80% by running dry for the first 18 days. Dry for me was 28-30% humidity with no water in the channels
