Yes I am. The gal I received the brahmas and spangled orps had the best hatch of all the ones I ordered. Her eggs came all the way from Florida. I think part of the problem was when we had that big wind storm. The eggs were without power for over 5 hours and I had to drive them to my parents. That happened on lockdown day. I had a number of them malpositioned when I opened the eggs, wonder if I should stop turning earlier than day 18? Thoughts??
It's possible that being without heat for 5 hours at a time when the chicks are starting to move into hatching position could have had some bearing on the malpositions. I don't think stopping the turning before day 18 would have any effect on position... in fact, I'm going to be turning my eggs more often on the next batch. I just read an interesting article where the hatchery was turning the eggs over 100 times a day. Talk about giving the chicks a workout! LOL!!!

Lol niw I get ya and can relate and i need a market for hen eggs mine are laying 15-18 sometimes 20 eggs each day you can only eat just sooooo many eggs Lol we both need a marketvplus I can just guess how many eggs you have WHEW!I thought the name walnut hill was familiar

Here is my update :)

I have 2 styrofoam incubators. One is still air and the other is forced. I have 4 orpingtons (2 jubilee and 2 red) eggs in the forced air that are on day 13. I will candle tomorrow and update.

In the still air incubator I have 6 coronation sussex eggs. Those are on day 3.

I ordered some blue cochin eggs that were shipped today. I will probably set those sometime later this week so that I will have a Christmas hatch. I would do the New Years hatch but I don't want the eggs to sit that long.

Thanks for all your hard work at this. I would imagine it's tough to keep up with us all, I can't even keep up with the reading ;)
