Here is my silver cot that hatched yesterday. Has curled toes. I forget what that means. Too dry? To hot? So far none of the others have pipped. I haven't got the brooder set up because I got sick and misplaced my wire for the cover and despaired of anything hatching. So the baby is nestled in as footy folded in half inside my shirt. I am going to tape its feet shortly but at least it is quiet now and not chirping in distress.

you fixed its toes? are you feeling betteR?

Taking chick glamor shots today. I found the perfect spot in my house. These are three svarthonas that I guess we'll grow and eat if DD doesn't adopt them first.

GREAT SHOT!!!!!

Eeek no way!! I do the trenches with the saw but sliding it sounds like it would make stuff start flying! I'll stick with my nice, slow, SAFE chisel chipping. ;)

It's easy once you get the hang of it.

The ONE TIME it goes wrong can mess you up for life. I have a sawstop table saw for this very reason.... Expensive, but if anything happened it could save my hand/arm/fingers... Just my 2¢.... Sorry, I'm a *bit* opiniated on safety things... :D

Edit: They don't make mitre saws though.

They were very nice and offered me a credit or refund. They think it is likely they got stressed and I or cold in transit. It is interesting in a way which breeds suffered losses while others did not loose any.

Edit: I dunno if they make miter saws, I just have that brand as my table saw.

Mitre saws pull the material into the saw away from the operator.
