They were very nice and offered me a credit or refund. They think it is likely they got stressed and I or cold in transit. It is interesting in a way which breeds suffered losses while others did not loose any.
Here is my silver cot that hatched yesterday. Has curled toes. I forget what that means. Too dry? To hot? So far none of the others have pipped. I haven't got the brooder set up because I got sick and misplaced my wire for the cover and despaired of anything hatching. So the baby is nestled in as footy folded in half inside my shirt. I am going to tape its feet shortly but at least it is quiet now and not chirping in distress.

I claimed the two deaths that were my fault via drowning, and have to decide if I want to order the difference to make up the 25 or not.Glad you were able to work things out with them.
Eeek no way!! I do the trenches with the saw but sliding it sounds like it would make stuff start flying!

It's easy once you get the hang of it.

The ONE TIME it goes wrong can mess you up for life. I have a sawstop table saw for this very reason.... Expensive, but if anything happened it could save my hand/arm/fingers... Just my 2¢....

Edit: I dunno if they make miter saws, I just have that brand as my table saw.
