whites!!! stop makin fun and I wouldnt doubt you have a farah on your wall the one with the nasty braids like the girls followed me around in Jamaica for a week beggin to do my hair with. so much that I had to start asking if they wanted me to do theirs instead just to keep them off my back!

Is there certain reasoning for that number? I know humidity for incubation is different in each situation. I'm wondering if there is a "right" number for me or if this is a definite never go below for this reason.

It all has to do with where you are, where the eggs come from, what breed of chicken, etc... No one number is right for everybody. The lowest I will let anything go is 28% on my BCM. All my other breeds I won't go below 35%.

I'm new to candling, so I'm not sure what to look for. These are Ancona duck eggs - 7 days incubating. Does everything look normal? Excuse the caked on mud I was told you can tell by candling if the humidity is good or not, but I don't know how to tell. Thanks.

It works better, and you can tell more, if you candle from the top, through the big end, into the air cell.
This is my day 7 Swedish duck egg... That early on, you are looking for the blood vessels..

The whiteish area directly under my light is the air cell. The Sharpie circle is the air cell on the day it was set. The increase in the size of the air cell is about right for day 7.
