I am so worried that they are baking in my coop right now and I'm two hours away.

15 minutes after being told there was 1 baby hatched and just 1 pip, my mother texted me that there were 2 babies, no pips. But, 40 minutes later she said 3 babies, and that she never saw that one pip. But then 15 minutes later, I get a message 4 babies, no pips. Why do I not believe her that there are no pips? I think she doesn't consider anything pipped until they actually start to zip (or in some cases finish zipping).

But good news, 4 babies hatched, and who knows how many pips!!!

Good Morning!! I was about 15 pages behind. I think I caught everything. @daxigait Nice Sunrise Photo! Safe Travels!!! Adorable Ducks! Adorable Pups! I have to say I like beards on other people, but do NOT like them on the person that I kiss every day. My BF still has a military hair cut and stays clean shaven

. I'm glad escaping hens came home, sorry for the one that didn't. CH good luck with your new eggs! I would LOVE to see a wiggling Emu egg, but wouldn't want to hatch any. Those birds scare me!

I have 2 silkie pips this morning, nothing on the shipped eggs. But, we're only on day 20. Hope things get hopping today!!


@Sally Sunshine My update is as follows:

I have 13 Salmon Favorelle and 9 of my silkie eggs locked down 4/4. I have 6 EE and 6 backyard mix eggs from a friend, plus 13 shipped blue/buff Cochin and 2 of my silkie eggs set on 3/27. 6 shipped silkie eggs, 12 auto sexing EEs and 19 frizzled EEs set on 4/1, but I snuck 6 more shipped silkie eggs in on 4/2. I have some replacement eggs from an earlier infertile batch being shipped soon, and .15 Blue Wheaten Sulmtalers due on Thursday.

Holy crap on a stick apparently he was already zipped i came back inside and heard peeping like crazy i said boy ur a noisy little one and of course it peeped even louder as i was talking and there he was out and about having a fit lol

It is amazing to me the difference in size in just a week.

It is amazing how fast they grow.

All right, I just managed to leave the Tractor Supply store without chicks. I am home and now wish I had got them. Maybe. I want some Silkies and they had some unusual colored ones. They also had Lavender Cochins. I have to buy six but six would put me over my 12 maximum that I agreed to with DH. I have 3 good layers right not that are keeping us comfortably in eggs. One OE roo is going up for sale. I have my Bantam Wyandotte roo and his pullet (the hen died). I was planning on getting a dozen eggs from the lady who sold me them to try and hatch out at least two more hens. But I really want a Silkie.

You need to renegotiate with your husband.

I would get a second opinion too. I saw you ordered a heat plate, I think that is the best way to go.

Wow, my white Olive Egger cockrel was for sale less than a day. I am supposed to meet a lady after work. I did not ask much, but I get my six dollars and he heads off to her twelve hens in need of a rooster. At almost 15 weeks he has a ways to go, but he should be very happy and busy.
