Large fowl. Looked like yours might be bantams.

I didn't think of that

Those mixing tubs make good planters too..

I'm trying to get a hold of some HT (Heat Treated) pallets right now to make some raised beds
I occasionally get holes in the corners of the cement tubs so they're repurposed into dust bathing tubs. Soil, wood ashes, sand and ag lime.

@Fire Ant Farm and anyone else interested in coccidia, worms and fecal tests... Here is a post about a peahen with coccidiosis and capillary worms. First fecal was negative, but one two days later showed a that she had a severe case of coccidiosis *and* capillary worms. It took her 2-3 weeks of intensive supportive care and medications, but she did manage to save her.

Sorry about your BIL. Flu sounds benign but so many people die from it every year.
I know when I've had severe bouts, I felt like dying.

I just came from Lowe's and I wish I had my camera. They had tomato plants. They were large but they were $15 ea.. How does one get $15 of tomatoes off of a single plant?
I thought $4 was high for single plants.
Don't people know what seeds are?
Try WallyWorld...decent plants, & not near $15

Quote: I only heave tetracycline powder and oxytetracycline powder (yeah, I know, kind of redundant - it was all I could get in my feed store antibiotic run when stocking up a while ago - I need to order some other stuff online). He's sleeping. 'Bout the same. Yeah, weird about the legs/feet...

Taking a break from yard work - finished mowing for now - some of it was just mowing already cleared areas, other areas I'm trying to clear and are thigh high. I'm slowly "reclaiming" my property (in the past it wasn't fenced and untended, and sometimes delinquents would hang out back there, mostly before my time - totally overgrown). In addition to a very old rusted out spray paint can, I found:

And I ran the mower right over this - it was in a depression and all eggs intact (it's one of the SS girls getting out every day to hide her nest, the little stinker):

I also got nice shots of Tank and his girls among the wildflowers in their paddock (not mown):

OK, gotta get something to eat, then blackberry planting...
