Sorry about your BIL. Flu sounds benign but so many people die from it every year.
I know when I've had severe bouts, I felt like dying.

I just came from Lowe's and I wish I had my camera. They had tomato plants. They were large but they were $15 ea.. How does one get $15 of tomatoes off of a single plant?
I thought $4 was high for single plants.
Don't people know what seeds are?

How often do you think I should try to feed? Just go by the crop and when it's empty?

That's good to know, considering I found some yesterday & tossed them over the fence to the birds. As in the post before your's, some of the birds ignored them, some ate them, & some pecked at them once, then ignored them.

My chickens got 15+ while I was digging the duck pond.... :/

I tried raising meal worms a few years ago, for fish bait. Bedded them in oatmeal, which was also their food source. Most of the seed stock was found in chicken manure, some was leftover bait, which was larger than the wild variety. I gave up after they ate their way out of their container; raising meal worms in styrofoam containers is NOT a good idea!

Yeah... I kept my earthworms in plastic tubs.

They want to buy it all on Saturday morning, stick it in the ground, be done by noon, and expect a crop with no further work. They even sell CORN seedlings now. [/COLOR]
