Thanks this is helpful. He looks like his umbilical is sort of open. Not sure really what the deal is if he absorbed the sac or not, I guess it could have ruptured or he could have just pulled the umbilical weird when he finally got out, it was all wrapped around his neck choking him... Which I have NEVER seen. Last year I lost one to this and saved 2, out of A LOT of chicks that were a otherwise totally fine... Weirdness. I'm hoping that he does make it. I'm going to give him electrolytes and a few things soon. But I wanted to leave him alone under the lamp to rest and see what was going to happen on it's own so he could rest a bit. I will let you guys know how it goes... Hatch day 3 is my least favorite right now

Good luck with it. If it's got an open navel or a bloody navel you can use Iodine on it.
