Practically the entire city is out of power, stores and all. I work at a large hospital here and even it lost power. Luckily they have a backup generator that kicked in. My parents live an hour from me, I'm going to head over there with the eggs because they currently still have power.

Candled eggs yesterday at 14 days. All 11 are growing.

They will continue to clear up over the next few days, but you may end up with some sticky chicks. The temp fluctuations have likely caused it. But they can still be fine, so dont worry.

So this is where you disappear to . the pointed end will be clear more than not . most people look from the top of the egg . so they don't see the pointed end . If the air cells look good and there is not a large amount of fluid between the air cell and the chick . all should be fine . the fluid line should be a very fine line for best hatch results. temperature fluctuations are common in Styrofoam incubators with ceramic filled metal heating elements . sometimes as much as six degrees . but most of the time its more like four degrees the important thing is that the eggs remain at a constant temperature . that is why all recommend you take the temperature at the top of the eggs .

What a great idea I have an office too. Probably frowned upon at a hospital though. My eggs are as important as the patients to me. This is life or death here...literally. They might not buy that one

Ugh, our power went out at home, and I'm stuck at work for another 4 hours

I told my husband to throw towels/blankets over it and not to touch it. I hope the power at home comes back up before they cool off too much! We have a generator up and running for the fridges, a heat lamp for Fuzzybutt, I don't think they connected the bator tho. Apparently there is a tree down across the drive way so I may not be able to GET home... @Hawk12
Maybe I should come visit you for a while LOL!

ETA: ok the driveway isn't TOO long. but I don't want to leave my vehicle in the road... More trees to crush it down there! Gotta talk my FIL to keeping some large branches for roosts...

We had 5 trees down on our road in Hayden. My husband and the neighbors had to clear the road so we could get to and from our houses. The storm has caused quite a bit of damage. Glad to hear things are OK in your neck of the woods @firedragon. How about you @Saris?

I will keep an eye out to be safe!!! Hahahah!!! I have not actually started it but I guess I can...Seeing I am less than a week in. .

I decided to candle today just to check fertility. I candled one of each egg....CLB, Project CLB, and CLB/EE...and 3/3 are growing!!!!! e...I am super stoked and can't wait till day 7 to do full candling! Then I will mark the eggs as to the shape and sex..... we shall see!

Yes,it moves like liquid and yolk at the pointed end.About 15 more hours till lockdown.Where I'm at here,we have a tornado watch and flood advisory for two days,I hope our electricity doesn't go out course then I think they really won't make it.
