to be honest if that happens dont be afraid to run the water warm and gently hand wash them off, CAREFUL not to get their heads and nostrils, use a paper towel for that part. Its best to do it right away and get it done when they are real bad, cause you will end up doing it later on anyways. and dry them with a towel and fluff um up.

And congrats..... now whats going on with that other one I seen in that image?

Ummmm....it's pipped?? I can't see that side of the interior very well because the viewing window is on the opposite side, and I built a lego wall down the middle

I have 4 more pipped as far as I can tell, they have been pipped since this morning. so almost 12 hours? No zipping yet.


EDIT: HOLY COW IT WAS ZIPPING I HAVE THREE CHICKS!!!!! YIPPIE!! NO ASSISTING FOR #3!!! It's out and running around!

Ugh, I feel like I know when I'm supposed to assist but I just keep hoping they will come out on their own! I don't like assisting! And then I nervous that maybe I'm jumping the gun, so I want someone else to tell me that "yes you're correct" or "No, don't do that!" This is my second hatch, I believe I had to assist 2 for the same reason on my first hatch, but I didn't know the reason they were like that. I am glad I found out! I am writing up a thread about this hatch, it's kind of fun
