come back after dinner!! I didnt even say hello yet!

I candled all the eggs of the 31, all the Road Islands weren't developing. I did open them up. 3 had been fertile by the bullseye, 1 had the dark eye spot but didn't grow from there and 1 double yolk.

@sally sunshine here are the remainder of fertile eggs and their cells as of day 14.

This is what I was meaning by different. I wasn't sure if it was common with shipped eggs.

its very common, and your gonna have to take your best guess for the majority.

Will eggs from yesterday be OK that are unwashed on the counter, but were on there sides not on point if I put them so now?

super powers  LMAO!!!

all these silkied seramas.... does this mess up the other serama genes gettin this involved in there? some of the birds Harmonyann hatched from Shlex I didnt like they were like a mixy lookin thing we sold them off.

That's partly why I'm trying to narrow this down. One of the Seramas in pen 3 are making an occasional silkie. But they are good looking silkies. Pen 8 is made up of pen 3 offspring pullets and an unrelated roo. I'm trying to figure out who has this silkie gene. I know it didn't start with my original birds. So keeping them out of the mix. If I can, i'd like to have one pen only of nice looking silkied Seramas.....I have it narrowed down to 8 possible birds out of these 2 pens, but I recently lost one of the two roos from pen 3. Maybe it was him that started the silkies....I'll know if I never get another silkie from that group....Sorry, rambling...thinking out loud....
