X2It depends on how spooked the deer is. If it's just "pushed" it won't have adreneline pumping, but one that's scared, especially if it's been shot at or wounded, is definitely different than one strolling through. I much prefer to drop a grazing deer in it's tracks thaan chase one down after it's been spooked and shot. But yes, handling afterwards makes a difference, too. I always field dress mine to cool the carcass as quickly as possible.
