Exactly why I used electric fence with aluminum wire. Still high tensile, but not as high as regular galvanized wire. Horse has a chance to get out of trouble. I'd rather replace a section of fence than replace a horse...been down that road one too many times already.Its the unexpected thats costly... Like if your horse decides to preform an amputation of his leg with the fence...
