Wow, Sorry - I hate asking all these questions. I used an egg carton, cut holes in the bottom of each cup. But these are TINY silkie eggs. It's trying to hatch - if it was out on the ground, I think it would have popped the shell open, but since she's in the carton, it's like a barrier. Do I take the egg out of the carton? Should I have cut more off of the carton?

I dont use uprights,but I am pretty sure she will get out on her own, they rest after hatch, give her time, she is fine sitting there for a bit.

Congrats! The little boogers are resourceful, aren't they? She will likely sit for a bit, then start trying to explore. Least that's been my experience with silkies.
