The eggs should be on their sides for hatching. If it tries to zip where there carton is touching the shell, it'll never get through.Wow, Sorry - I hate asking all these questions. I used an egg carton, cut holes in the bottom of each cup. But these are TINY silkie eggs. It's trying to hatch - if it was out on the ground, I think it would have popped the shell open, but since she's in the carton, it's like a barrier. Do I take the egg out of the carton? Should I have cut more off of the carton?
Thanks!
I have a friend that is looking for a home for a speckled Sussex Easter Egger rooster. Ventura county, California. Just under a year. Any takers? If I could keep rooster, I'd consider it, but I am desperately trying to keep my silkie roo quiet.....
I do think the air cell is too small for 15 days, but I am asking about all of the above. They look like they have stopped growing from one direction, but okay from another. Air cell down is too hard for me to take a picture of. Up is all black. Here's a better picture.I dont see anything but a haze, take a pic from the air cell down, or are you asking about air cell size?

I am not sure what I am looking at, looks like a cloud in there without any prominent veining or embryos visible in the images.

And just where do you propose to go?I dont use uprights, but I am pretty sure she will get out on her own, they rest after hatch, give her time, she is fine sitting there for a bit.
you betcha so now I will leave this one in your hands![]()
I have no clue! are you drying out the EE's too much, what happens with them? These are the chickens. I never saw veining, but assume it's because they are green. I think I see movement tonight, but that could be my imagination.
Why are BCM a cinch for me to hatch, but EE are impossible?!
