One of my chicks turned out to be a frizzle (my favorite one)! And I think one might be silkied. Does anyone have pictures of silkied Seramas as chicks?

I don't think that would work on this. It needs to be stitched. I can use regular quilting thread but I thought I heard that dental floss works. I've never done anything like this but I've heard of people who have. Thought someone here might know.
Can you post a picture? I have had several pretty severe injuries heal no problem without stitches. One of my roosters was basically scalped and it healed great. I would think if you can get the skin to stay in place for 24 hours, it will heal the rest on it's own. Just make sure it's cleaned out well and use some antibiotic ointment.
If you can't get it to stay, are you near a tractor supply? They actually sell sutures...I would use the floss if I couldn't get anything else...
I was reading the directions for these and it said to run a bare copper wire from the water to a 5ft grounding post, anybody care to show me how you did that? Visual works better for me!You was???I use a Farm Innovators 150W bird bath de-icer in my bucket w/nipples. Works great!!!
I have two or three frizzles in the bunch, should have more but we dont have them set up for hatching frizzle right now, just trying to get fertile, I dont have silkiedOne of my chicks turned out to be a frizzle (my favorite one)! Yes I can, the way it is cut though seems like it would be a little awkward for trying to glue it together. He lets me clean it out so I'm hopeful he would be ok with me stitching it. I've separated him into the CHICU (Chick ICU) so he can heal but I don't think it will heal right without attaching the 2 flaps back together. I can see his muscles and everything. I'll try to get a pic of it.

I agree as well on no stitches, but not seeing it, what do I know!
I also had a roo almost scalp a hen and I just cleaned it and kept spraying with veterycin and she healed over in no time, its cold outside so that is a plus as far as flies
Wonder how that would work running a bare wire through chain link?I was reading the directions for these and it said to run a bare copper wire from the water to a 5ft grounding post, anybody care to show me how you did that? Visual works better for me!
