Late as usual, but here's my contribution to the tp roll debate:

Also applies to babies, at first.

I must be part cat... I can't get it off the roll when it's installed like the second pic.

It's not as complimented as it appears. Okay, maybe it is, but since I set it up in stages, it's not hard for me to know exactly what role each piece plays and how to keep it going. Somehow, in spite of me, it all works together. There are a lot of fully-automated systems that will monitor and maintain the system, but they're out of my reach. I normally spend about an hour each week maintaining it, but I'd skipped a couple of weeks, so it took longer today.

You should see the looks people give when they first see it. They think I've got a meth lab set up in my basement...

There are much simpler (modular) setups than mine, but I went a little overboard to make it easier to keep up with maintenance... if you can believe that by looking at the pics. I mix my saltwater, drain the water, and refill the tanks from the basement. I have a 125 gallon reef tank directly above the "lab", and a 40 gallon semi-reef in another room. Both tanks are tied into this system, so when I do a water change, both tanks get fresh water.

Yes, ma'am... I have two. I wanted a couple more, but the wife said enough is enough...

Lemme guess...that's about the time you took to raising chickens

Wow... I finally got caught a break this evening. Did chicken stuff, and realized that I've been neglecting my saltwater friends... so I had to go into the dungeon and do some catch-up work.

I had to clean filters and protein skimmer, mix 30 gallons of saltwater, check additives, maintenance on on pump, etc...

Here's my "laboratory"...

That is awesome!! cool hobby Joey1!

Man, just got in the house. Mama made a rotisserie roasted rooster, corn, baked potato, cottage cheese and then a fresh sliced pineapple. My goodness I'm stuffed to the gills.

@Sally Sunshine do you know what the reasoning was behind Jerrys statement about white serama eggs? One of my hens looks like a serama I saw her parents who defiantly were Seramas. But, she lays a white egg, it has started to become darker like cream colored...is what he said accurate?

Good evening everyone! Welcome back Ur!
I won't comment on my 200 post read back since lunch today since Bubbles has graciously agreed to restart the recaps, but I will weigh in on the TP debate.
If you google the original patent for TP, the original patent owner recommended over the top, so as to keep the paper away from the walls and any bugs, germs or viruses that may be present in th outhouse facility would be less likely to transfer to the paper.
I tried to post the link, but technology eludes me this evening.
Just google ' toilet paper patent' it is from the late 1800's. :frow

This hen has laid her ninth new egg after the chicks shown have been weaned and has now gone broody again. The chicks in the picture are just over five weeks of age. While you can't make a hen go broody, you can provide the right stimulus that encourages broodiness.
