@Sally Sunshine

You asked for Eggtopsie pics, I couldn't bring myself to pull them all the way out but I will if you need me too.

This is how I start(in case the egg wants to explode)

I don't know where my husband got this screwdriver but it is awesome for chipping away at the shell, I use that plus this neat little dental tool.

Now for the eggs:

One had pipped internally, but it seems to have a slightly malformed beak (the top was shorter than the bottom) it tried to pip externally but the short beak and/or some shrink wrapping wouldn't let it.

One was a MAL that had it's beak pointing away from the aircell, it died before completely absorbing it's albumen.

It's foot is over its head.

Two just died without absorbing their albumen, otherwise they seemed fine.

One was dead, maybe at day 14 or so, I didn't want to pick at it to take pictures......it was just grey swirly stuff.

My hatch is done

6 DIS

24 chicks out

only had to help one out of the shell when it got stuck zipping. Hooray!

Baby duckling is getting weak. I got the membrane off of its head, but when I got closer down to the side it started bleeding. I really hope I didn't cause it harm. It's somewhat sticky too.
your fine, you saw blood and stopped, there really isnt anything you can do, but wait. I know its hard but if he cant do what he needs there are other issues, perhaps with respiration, this is the main killer of pipped fowl.... only time will tell.

He's moving around a lot now, so I'm hopeful. Looking at him now, I didn't really get the membrane off most of his head, but I want to give him a bit for his veins to dry up a little more before I try to fix that. This is definitely the most stressful hatch I've delt with, including my Serama hatches.
