You might be able to retrain her with treats... just go sit with them and put some meal worms or bread on your lap and see if they will jump up. Winter is always tough for me cause I like to sit with the birds and watch them.. but it is too cold, but I try to hand feed the ones I am extremely fond of when I go out to feed them and clean their coop.Lol!
Going off topic here but you know what i miss about my chickens? I used to go in that pen and sit down every day with them, and the one whom i love, the brahma got used to me after a couple days and would climb up in my lap and go to sleep. But i hot busy and wasnt able to be in there with them much anymore so now shes skiddish again![]()

Thanks! It's made of SunTuf panels (Solar Grey). The plan called for them, and they are SUPER (and fairly easy to install, even for a building novice like myself). Got 'em at Home Depot.Love it!! What is the roof? Lexan? Fiberglass..?
Sounds good sweetness. This mamma is getting tired. Got to get the kids up super early for school. Hope you have a good night and keep me updated please and post pictures. I love Jersey Giants. I have two myself that are dolls. They eat a ton. LOL Good night and sweet dreams.Even if its really cold outside, we built our coop for the winter, i can sit in there and not be too cold. But yeah we have had very little snow this year so i grab grass (which they love) and put it on my lap and theyll usually jump on my and get their foodonly been out once tho. I plan on going out in the mornings and doing it starting tomorrow.![]()

How is the bator?
This is good to know - thanks for sharing. Yeah, the manual talks about how to hatch in the R-Com, and then says never to hatch in it, and that if you do, you void the warranty. Which is irritating, because one of the things I like the most is the big open window (plus being totally automated). With time the humidity works less and less well with the rcoms. I added a wet sponge and put humidity up to max. I think hatching in them is not good for them (like in any bator really).
I finally killed mine by trying to clean out the dander with tweezers. When it says don't put anything metal into them the mean it. It killed the electronics. I still can't see how though![]()
